Stewardship – Developing a Culture of Philanthropy 

Three priests, one of them NFPC president Father Tony Cutcher, reflect on their efforts in raising funds for the church’s mission.

The essay titled “Developing a Culture of Philanthropy: Three Pastors’ Perspectives” appeared in the March 2017 edition of Wisdom from ICSC Strategic Partners, a monthly publication from the International Catholic Stewardship Council.

In the essay, written Griffin O’Shea, senior director at CCS Fundraising, Father Tony and two other pastors, Monsignor William Belford, pastor of St. Teresa Parish in Staten Island, NY, and Father Cosme Fernandes, pastor of St. Martin of Tours Parish in Bronx, NY share their insights on three elements of successful Catholic philanthropy: stewardship, personal requests, and ownership.
