7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE

Focuses on an "inside-out" approach to personal and interpersonal leadership development based on the well-known book by Stephen Covey. The program teaches that we must establish and nurture qualities of character in our personal lives before we can authentically celebrate meaningful interpersonal relationships with others. The 7 Habits include: "Being Proactive," "Beginning With the End in Mind," "Putting First Things First," "Thinking Win-Win," "Seeking First to Understand — Then To Be Understood," "Synergizing" and "Sharpening the Saw." Pastoral, theological and scriptural adaptations included.

TAXES & RETIREMENT FOR PRIESTS

CONFLICT DYNAMICS

Looks at the relationship between leadership and conflict resolution skills. Participants consider the distinction between constructive and destructive ways of dealing with conflict and 15 specific conflict resolution behaviors. Prior to the workshop, participants complete an online assessment of how they personally deal with conflict and following the workshop they have the opportunity for personalized consultation regarding their assessment scores.

HEALTHY INTIMACY

Explores the sacred gift of human sexuality through three fundamental aspects of healthy adult psychosexual maturity; Identity, Intimacy, and Integration. Looking at both research and experience, the workshop discusses the challenges and the opportunities of spirituality in a celibate lifestyle and looks at the critical importance of a mature self-identity, including a deepening self-awareness and self-acceptance. It addresses healthy as well as unhealthy ways adults express intimacy in relationships and coping with loneliness such as "cybersex" and other sexual addictions and compulsions. The program can be a source of healing and wholeness both for oneself and those one is called to minister. Topics include: Images of Sexuality, A Model of Healthy Sexuality, 6 Dimensions of Psychosexual Development, Defining Intimacy, Obstacles to Intimacy, The Path of Psychosexual Integration and Ways to Nourish Affectivity

COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT

Focuses on diocesan presbyteral councils. Participants discuss how the council members work together with the bishop, their fellow priests and each other. It examines the practical principles of a good council and the functions and attributes of a good team. The program features the principles from the NFPC publication, Unity Among Us and the DVD Priests in Council.
