Catholics called to oppose mass deportations

The America magazine website (July 31, 2017) contains an essay by J. Kevin Appleby on why US Catholics are called to oppose mass deportations. Appleby, who addressed the 2017 NFPC annual Convocation of Priests in Anaheim, CA this past April, is the senior director of international migration policy of the Center for Migration Studies of New York, a Catholic-based educational institute and think tank founded by the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo, the Scalabrinians.
