Re: Website Issues…?

Hello,

My name is Addam Scott and I am a Digital Marketing Specialists for a Creative Agency.
I was doing some industry benchmarking for a client of mine when I came across your website.
I noticed a few technical errors which correspond with a drop of website traffic over the last 6-8 months which I thought I would bring to your attention.
After closer inspection it appears your site is lacking in 4 key criteria.

1- Website Speed
2- Link Diversity
3- Domain Authority
4- Competition Comparison

I can send you over the report which shows all of the above and so much more which will help you at least improve your site, its rankings and traffic.
I would love the chance to help as well however; this report will at least give you a gauge on the quality of what I do. If you are interested then please share your requirement and contact details.

Is this the best email to send it to?

Sincerely,
Addam Scott

SLIconnect, the education resource of St. Luke Institute, presents From Toxic to Tolerable: Navigating a Difficult Workplace

We would like to share the webinar on 1/25 with our 40+ Office Directors at our Diocesan Pastoral Center, followed by discussion on our diocesan Mission/Vision and Core Values. We can do this if I purchase the webinar for my computer and use that with HTML cord to project to the room. My question is if it will be all input from Emily Cash or is there active participation from our end. Our first thought was to have all the Directors pay the fee and then use the all-room projection. Can you please tell me how to do this so that you get “your due” and we are able to view the webinar with all Office Directors. Thank you.

Director of Mission Integration

NFPC This Week, #740 – 12/24-12/30/2017

Of Note This Week –

NFPC welcomes Dan Snow

NFPC is happy to announce a new member of its team.  Dan Snow, a native Chicagoan joins us to be the new Project & Research Assistant and Editor of NFPC This Week.  Dan’s bio is below. Please join us in welcoming him:

My name is Dan Snow, and I am excited to be assisting the National Federation of Priest’s Councils. I am a lifelong Chicagoan from the city’s Northwest Side and a member of St. Juliana’s Parish. I am a recent graduate of Loyola University Chicago where I received my BA and MA, both in History. I primarily studied American urban history with a focus on immigration and religion in the industrial North, with special emphasis on Catholicism. My primary study was a look at French-American Catholics in Chicago during the latter 1800s and early 1900s.

I am grateful to the NFPC for giving me the opportunity to work with them, and am especially thankful for the assistance of Alan in welcoming me to the organization. I have been impressed by his commitment and his knowledge, and hope that I will be able to continue his work with the same dedication. My goal is to ensure a smooth transition for This Week as Alan ends his 21 years of service and to set up the newsletter for continued success moving forward. If you have any ideas, comments, or questions for me, do not hesitate to reach out to me via email at [email protected].

Thank you!

Father Larry Dowling’s Christmas Poem 2017

Father Larry Dowling, a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago and pastor of St. Agatha Parish, sent us his annual Christmas Poem, this year titled Christmas Surrender. For the text, click here.

Father Donald Cozzens on clericalism

The Dec. 26, 2017 edition of US Catholic magazine posted an essay by Father Donald Cozzens titled “Don’t put priests on a pedestal.” In the article he contends that clericalism is a “cancer crippling the Catholic world—from local communities to Vatican offices—is so deeply embedded in our past and present church fabric that we need a careful presurgery examination. So pull on your surgical gloves and join me in the pre-op room.”

In 2004 Fr. Cozzens wrote A Faith that Dares to Speak, (Liturgical Press) in which he delves into the clerical culture.

Fr. Cozzens received NFPC’s Touchstone Award earlier this year.
